TIG / GTAW Welder
Job Description
Welds a variety of meterials and joint configurations using TIG welding techniques. Often welds parts that have been fit and fabricated by others.
Recommended Areas of Knowledge and/or Skill
- TIG (GTAW) welding experience, preferably with stainless steel
- Knowledge of weld inspection, defects, and how to repair welds
- Some understanding of blueprints / drawings and weld symbols
Responsibility
- Read and understand weld symbols
- Working with various types of metals with various thicknesses: stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum
- Product welds of the correct size and shape with few defects in multiple positions
